June 1969 to April 26, 2014 — Presentation of 9th Dan in Traditional TaeKwon-Do
On April 26, 2014 GM Jeffrey Helaney was promoted to the rank of 9th Dan Black Belt by the International Jun Tong TaeKwon-Do Federation. This is the highest rank and honor achievable in Traditional TaeKwon-Do. The ceremonies were attended by martial arts luminaries and legends from all over the country.
Shortly after the ceremony GM Helaney began receiving well wishes from around the world. GM Kang Rhee (seen here with student Elvis) was one of the luminaries who sent congratulations. He included a thank you for GM Helaney’s work in the arts and a certificate of rank recognition through his organization.
